Caleb's clothes were soaking wet after trying a few sips of water from dad's cup - so we stripped him down to his diapie and he happily continued playing!
Caleb is 9 months old already!?

Caleb has had a busy month of learning and exploring! He is cruising all around the furniture in the house and fighting with dad for the remote daily - it is his favourite toy! When an object he is analyzing (by putting it in his mouth, of course) is taken away from him, Caleb definitely knows how to protest! He is learning to imitate dad and mom by clapping when we clap, and he loves to bounce up and down when he hears music he likes.

Compared to other babies his age, Caleb is long and lean - 19 pounds, 6 ounces and 29 and 1/2 inches tall.
Caleb has a new babysitter who he is really enjoying spending time with - mom's friend Katie comes over to play with him for a few hours a week. He has a big smile for her when she arrives - it's great to see him enjoy his interactions with other people and especially other babies. We are really looking forward to watching him learn more and more!

Caleb's new toy... a little car that he can stand behind and push (he hasn't quite figured out how to use it as a walker yet, but he scoots around on his knees really fast)...

...or he can sit on top of it and play with the steering wheel and push all the buttons!

On an evening stroll with mom and dad to the neighbourhood park.... Caleb played in a swing! Special thanks to grandma Tsang who brought this cute Roots hat from Toronto.

We said goodbye to grandma Tsang a few days ago (sorry it took so long to get these pics up, mom!) - a sorrowful parting for everyone!

Grandma Tsang is here to visit for a few days... Caleb was very happy to see his po-po again, he loved talking to her and showing her all of his latest tricks!

Caleb among a bunch of adults at Tiffany & Scott's place for dinner... and giving Tiff a nice slobbery kiss!

Being silly with Terri and Josh...

Some old keckers and a blinking baby...

"I wish I was as tall as daddy!"

Caleb: All business up front.....

...party in the back!!
Recently Caleb has been showing particular interest in feeding himself... he is really good with the big wagon wheels but tends to shove a whole one in his mouth at once instead of biting off little pieces.

Smaller foods like cheerios are a little harder for Caleb to manage, but he has learned to stuff little finger foods into his mouth on his own... not a very refined skill yet, but we are sure he will improve in time. His track record of actually getting small food from his hand to his mouth is probably 50/50, and since his dexterity is still a little poor, Caleb generally stuffs his entire fist into his mouth and drops the cheerio in!! It's hard work for him....
